General introduction

ContentForces Item Detail allows for the display of your company's items within their specifications. This advanced component helps your website visitor verify all relevant information about your company's items and services collection. The Item Detail demonstrates a number of details and key features of a item. Moreover, it provides a visual representation (an image or drawing) to complete the overall description. Structured information about items' properties helps in spelling out the purpose of a particular item, along with its functionality and specifications.

Website visitor perspective

Your website visitor is viewing the Item Overview and he/she wants to obtain information about an item or service.
The website visitor clicks on a item's picture or link and the Item Detail appears.

Website manager perspective

At the beginning of the component implementation process a website manager should define the set of Item properties per Item group.
The website manager can add, reorder, delete and publish the Item Detail page (importantly, it is possible to make many publications of the same data on multiple different Item Detail pages).
It is possible to define Item Detail publication status by making it either 'online' or 'offline'.
The Item Detail will be setup by ContentForces within the base design, with a corresponding look and feel.
