General introduction

The ContentForces Content and Campaign Management System allows you to control the access to pages through the use of usernames and passwords. According to user identity, the system will permit or forbid the display of pages and test whether a user requesting a page is assigned to the required role. As a result, the component gives the possibility to select which sections of content hidden behind a login will be available for which users.

Key benefits

  • Flexible system for managing access control to pages.
  • The tool will hide some of your articles based on the visitor's login.
  • Authenticate the access in a secure manner.
  • Helps to restrict front-end access to particular sections.
  • Enable varying levels of viewing and protect the content.

Website manager perspective

  • Assigning/unassigning role/s to/from contact - the manager can assign one or more roles to a contact within one organization on the Contact Detail Page in the Content and Campaign Management System. The manager needs to choose the target contact from the overview of contacts, click 'Assign role' and select the applicable roles with the checkboxes and finally, click 'Assign'. The selected roles will be assigned to the user. To unassign a role, the manager needs to uncheck the box next to the role that is to be unassigned.
  • Assigning/unassigning roles to/from the taxonomy: the manager can assign a role to the taxonomy. He goes to the selected taxonomy detail page and clicks 'Assign role'. The system displays the role assigning page, where the manager can tick proper checkboxes next to roles he wants to assign. The settings need to be saved. To unassign a role, the manager needs to uncheck the appropriate box.

Features

  • Links: all connections to all the pages (from links or menus) are always visible but their target pages will be displayed depending on the role (if clicked, they will lead to a login page).
  • Operates at the organization's level.
